multiseries alignment issues

Postby cosmic » 15 Jan 2009

Hi, please take a look at the attached chart - what can I do to prevent this 'ugly' barspacing when using time, tick and volume bars together? MultiCharts seems to align those bars based on equal time spacing with then moving the developing bar forward in time? What's the reasoning behind this concept...

thx which version do you refer to? looked into 4.0 as well and the same issues are at play when mixing those resolutions.

Hi guys,

The problem with combining time-based and tick-based resolutions is that ticks have irregular nature. Any given period of time will have different number of ticks generated. At the same time, time-based resolutions need to be tied to specific times on the x-axis. Due to numerous factors, it is now impossible to evenly space time-based resolutions in combination with irregular ticks.
