Does MC send emails?

Postby arnie » 13 Mar 2009

Hi.

Maybe it skiped my eyes, but I couldn't find any mention in the manual regarding the possibility of MC sending emails with chart images.

It would be interesting if MC could be capable of, by formulae, or not, sending emails with a selected chart.

Imagine that you are out of the office and want to see how the market is during the day. Imagine that you want to be updated every 30 min? Imagine that you want to send to your costumers trading signals base on your rules and want to show them?

My idea is to allow MC to send images (.jpq .png or other) through email with the specified symbol chart or even better, the specified workspace, with all indicators and other charts that could be in there.

Lets call them snapshots.
MC would take snapshots of the selected market, and send those snapshots via email with a specified time interval.

Any ideas, thoughts on the matter by other users?

Thank you.
Fernando

C'mon, iPhone?

That's a toy, not a working tool for the working guy.

Please see File->Send Image via e-mail.
You can select a chart or a whole workspace.

Yes, but that is sent away manually, meaning, someone must be in front of the computer and select ->Send Image.

I'm talking about an automatic feature where we could select the chart/workspace and specify, for example, a time table in which MC would sent the email.

For example, I was thinking on something like this:

I want to send an image of chart/workspace4 every 30 min to this email address.

how about adding this in the Alert feature?

the Alert can already trigger an email,
MC can add an option to include the chart image.

p.s. just make sure you set this up properly, or else your iPhone will be inundated with charts.

You could easily do this using SnagIt software. You can have it take a snapshot of anything and upload to a website or send via automatically for any period of time and continuously. Works pretty cool!
