Unable to plot Nifty Jul 09 futures.
Multicharts complains No data.

I am using Version 5.0 Release (Build 2369)

Hi aljafp,

In my tests on a demo IB account I was able to receive data for the NIFTY50 symbol without any issues.

Please do the following:

1. Re-add the symbol in QuoteManager (from DataSource).
2. Try to plot the symbol in MultiCharts.
3. Zip and send us logs from Start -> Programs -> MultiCharts -> Logs.

Or contact our customer support representatives for online assistance.

connection to nifty futures data has failed again :(

Previously it was
INR AUG09 NIFTY50 Futures NIFTY09AUGFUT

The new symbol description is
INR AUG09 Futures NIFTY09AUGFUT

IB keeps changing the symbol description BACK AND FORTH.
And it seems like everytime the description changes, MC breaks down.

Can MC be more robust such that DESCRIPTION changes do not cause MC to fail ?

thanks

Dear aljafp,

Unfortunately nothing can be done on this. There is some critical information (e.g. Currency) coded in the Description.

TSSupport engineer reflected to Olga who in turn reflected to me , that this problem would be fixed in 5.5

I would like to report that after upgrading the VERY SAME PROBLEM STILL EXISTS and i still cannot plot NIFTY futures traded on NSE with IB data.
