Conneting to IB TWD with clientID != 0

Postby marekj » 25 Aug 2009

I need to connect MultiCharts with IB TWS using clientdID != 0 (I have another application connecting to IB TWS with clienttID = 0). Where I can define clientID in Multicharts?

We don't use it for data. You can see it in Event Log of QM.

You will see something like this:
Connecting to TWS... host= 127.0.0.1, hostIP= 127.0.0.1, port= 7496, clientId= 30182

Autotrading uses clientId= 0. You can't change it. It is hardcoded.

Is it possible to add a variable configurable thru GUI or configuration file, to allow clientID to be != 0 for auto-trading? (I have conflict with another application that is connecting to IB TWS with clientID = 0).
