autotrade nasdaq100 stock portfolio

Postby wegi » 27 Jan 2010

Hi,

is there a way to autotrade a lot of stocks with the same strategy ?
I want to trade all nasdaq100 shares.
One way would be to setup 100 Charts - not sure if MC can handle this.
Is there an other way ?

I don´t need real routing against IB, it would be enough to see the position in MC.
This is because i use my own routing software against IB.

Thx.

If you had a fast enough computer (quad or 8 core) I think MC could handle it. I have about 50+ charts running on 12 workspaces, with no problems. (quad core)
Wouldn't it be more practical to just trade the QQQQ instead of 100 separate stocks and their associated commissions ? (managing that many trades simultaneously, seems tedious to me.)

My systems scans all Nasdaq100 stocks and i only trade 1 to 5 different stocks, only the first signal will be traded. Its a stock portfolio system.

at the moment i trade this one with tradesignal std. edition, but i want to switch to the datafeed of IB, so i look for a solution to do the same with MC.

but i think its not possible to open 100 charts.
i have an notbook core2duo 2Ghz, 2Gb Ram and i trade 14 fx Charts, 5min resolution. My notebook is really bussy !
