Trade Manager

Postby Bruce DeVault » 31 Jan 2010

In TS, Trade Manager is a comprehensive tool that allows you to see all live trades that took place, positions underway, orders that are still working, and message to and from the broker allowing diagnosis of things like rejected orders, etc.

We need a way in MultiCharts that the same sort of comprehensive outcomes can be achieved. It is important to be able to see at all times the broker position, orders working, and messages such as rejected orders or other exceptional situations in a central place within the trading platform.

I should post that in MultiCharts 6.0 currently in Beta 2, the new Order and Position Tracker window includes much of this type of functionality, including tabs for current orders, current positions, and a log of order-related events. So, it looks like there is in fact a solution coming down the pike for much of what was suggested here, and that TS Support has a plan in this regard. While the new features aren't yet documented and have yet to be fully tested by very many people, it looks like this is going to have very much the sort of functionality envisioned by the original post in this thread, so I think they'll be a great addition to the platform as 6.0 goes public.
