May I ask what is Change Bar for Resolution? Thanks.

Postby FHTrader » 06 May 2010

Hi,

Would anyone know what is the Change Bar for Resolution?

Is it a tick reversal bar?

I know Range bar, Renko bar or Kagi...but Change bar is new to me.

Thanks for any info or examples for trading TF, GC...etc.

I don't think that Change is Range.
If you mean that a range bar is built each "X" minmovment of the scale, probably you reffer to Point bar.

Change bar is probably more close to a bar in which you can consider the building of the bar every each "N" different change of price in the bar.
A change Bar could have different range from 2 to 10 or more.

If Change is = Range, it means that every bar has the same range of price, but it's not this way.

Point = Range .........look at the chart attached
