Postby t123knight » 07 Oct 2010

I can't seem to find any tutorials on how to set up Zen fire in multicharts. Can someone direct to where I can find info on this. Thanks.

Dear t123knight,

Unfortunately, the tutorials for Zen-Fire data source are not available yet. It is quite straight-forward. All you need is to enter your Zen-Fire login and password in Quote Manager --> Tools --> Data Sources --> Zen-Fire. Then you can add symbols from Zen-Fire in Quote Manager --> Instrument --> Add --> Manually.

If you have any difficulties connecting to Zen-Fire, please come to our Live Chat so we can connect to your computer remotely and help you.

The symbol formatting for zen-fire is the following:
For CME symbol root<month code><y>
where month code H=Mar, M=June, U=Sept, Z=Dec
where y=year = 1 through 0 for 10th year
CME Examples:
ES use ESZ0 and CME exchange
NQ use NQZ0 and CME exchange
YM use YMZ0 and CBOT exchange

CME currency Futures
6E use 6EZ0 and CME exchange

For NYBOT exchange:
TF use TF FMZ0010! and NYBOT exchange
that is TF space <space>< FM><month code>"00"<yy>"!"

FDAX1210 and Eurex exchange
Root<mm><yy>

Turn the symbols on and see if they connect and ticks are saved. They are.

Thanks Sigma Trader for your outline. Could you check your TF symbol and see if it works for you?
I've got TF FMZ0010! on the NYBOT and get NO DATA in MC. When I connect it in quote manager it says ON but no ticks come through.

The ES, YM etc work brilliantly.

Thanks.

jjthetrader - Please use Double space between TF & FM.

"TF<SPACE><SPACE>FMZ0010!"
