two live accounts from trading from mc

Postby andydandy » 08 Oct 2010

is it possible to use two different live accounts with interactive brokers...

What i mean by that is having one chart trading a strategy in one account and another chart trading the same strategy or a different strategy in another account...
both accounts are in interactive brokers..

Dear andydandy,

Yes, it is possible. You just need to chose Interactive Brokers 1 plug-in for one chart and Interactive Brokers 2 for another in Strategy Properties --> Auto Trading.

Dave,

WOW... thats great news. Dave, you must tell us about all these hidden gems in MC.

Is there any order or procedure to be followed in assigning Broker plugin.

Thanks and regards

Dear Sirs,

To trade with two IB accounts in MultiCharts, you need to open two IB TWS and set different Port in each of them. Then, you need to set these Port numbers for Interactive Brokers 1 and Interactive Brokers 2 plug-ins in Strategy Properties --> Auto Trading.
