TS tick data getting "stuck"

Postby jek » 09 Oct 2010

Since upgrading to both MultiCharts Build 3605 and the most recent TS 8.8, I have been having problems with volume bar charts just getting stuck downloading.

Anyone else see this?

It just stops requesting data from TS.

Anastassia told me on chat to downgrade to TS 8.6. I have 8.4, 8.6, 8.7 and 8.8 all still installed. So I tried selecting the 8.6 TS dll in QuoteManager/settings.

This didn't solve the problem.

Do I have to actually uninstall TS8.8 and TS8.7 ?

It is weird because if you quit everything and then reopen it, you get a little more data each time...

Suggestions?

It appears the answer is yes, you have to uninstall 8.8.

It somehow runs 8.8 even if you pick 8.6 from QuoteManager/settings...

Hi Jek,

There is no need to uninstall 8.8 as we previously discussed. What you need to do is switch TS version over at QuoteManager (Tools -> Data Sources -> TS) and start TS 8.6 itself. Prior to entering your login information you will get a window asking you to activate TS 8.6 (see attached file). Click "Yes" and TS 8.6 will be used.

Thank you

Anastassia - Is this issue being worked on - to make this work with TS 8.8 instead of 8.6?

I am currently using TS 8.8 as well and running into this issue.

Thanks.

Should definately be a priority since many users utilize TS for their data and soon 8.6 will not be supported.

Hi Guys,

TS 8.8 data source works with MC however for unknown reason it is not the case for all of the users. The issue is random and we are currently looking into the problem. I will make a post when we have any updates on it.

Thank you

Hi all,

is there any progress? I am using TS 9.1(and MC.NET) and the data is refreshed only when you do changes into symbol? Is there any hint here?

IB data started to work when I changed Build Volume to based on Tick. TS data is stuck:-(

Thank you for any help.

Hello mirek,

TS data should work fine now. What version of MultiCharts do you use? If you are using MC 8.5 Beta 2, please download and install the following update: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/95112551/MC_TS_80.zip

See update instructions here: https://www.multicharts.com/trading-sof ... an_Updater
