Global Draw Objects?

Postby sdewar » 07 Nov 2010

Hi - New user here switching over from NT 7 to MC 6.1. I have searched the latest MC Manual but can't find any reference to global draw objects. What I want to be able to do is draw horizontal and trend lines on one timeframe (let's say daily) and also choose to have them show up on other timeframes (60 min, 15 min) for example for the same instrument.

Is there a way to do this in MC?

Thanks

Dear sdewar,

Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment. I have forwarded your suggestions to the developers.

+1 for Global Draw.

Also, it would be nice to be able to change the thickness of the dashed lines as well as the solid ones.

Indeed this is one of the instances of where basing things on TS (which is based on Supercharts) is quite a limitation. Take a look at something like Ensign for an idea of what's possible for drawn objects. A huge range of styles, fills, and labels for drawn objects.

Actually I'd quite like to see all aspects of 'visualisation' (drawn objects, plots, chart properties etc.) revisited.

Hello chinapassage,

Currently there is no such feature in the platform. You can check this post for MultiCharts .NET study that copies drawings from one chart to the others.

Arguably this is 'basic functionality' for a charting package.
