Long (or short) only

Postby Algyros » 08 Nov 2010

On TS, it is possible to make an automated strategy long only by disabling the short part of the strategy. Does Multicharts have that capability and, if no, are there plans to add it to future editions?

Dear Algyros,

Unfortunately, it is not possible at the moment. However, this is an important feature and we will consider its implementation in the future.

Dave:

Since MC does not yet have this capability, why not split your buy/sell and sellshort/buytocover signals and test each separately.

I do this as a matter of functionality. I find it easier to evaluate and review the outcome of the signal on the security before I combine everything into a production strategy.

Good trading.

My apologies, Algyros. I replied to the wrong trader name.
