Interactive Brokers Error

Postby bibulous » 18 Apr 2011

With beta 2 I just got a "Max rate of messages per second has been exceeded:max=50 rec=453 (1)" (profile "Interactive Brokers") error. I have never seen this in 6.0. Is there anything I could/should do/set?

It just means that you are making more requests than they like. Did anything stop working? Shouldn't have.

That's what I thought. I am just wondering what requests it should be... My feed (realtime and historical) is IQFeed and the strategy was not sending any orders.

It's just a message from the IB API, meaning that you are requesting more than a certain amount of data packets per second. Just an information message that's it.

I understand. My point is that MC should request anything or at least not much...
