The new PFGBest Historical Data Capability

Postby Laurentius » 05 Dec 2011

Hello,

Regarding the new PFGBest historical data capability. I am wondering if one have to manually configure a specific ip-address and/or some server setting to make this work?

Thanks,
Laurentius

Hi,

There is no need to change your existing settings in Quote Manager for PFG Best data source in order to get the historical data.
When you set up the connection to PFG Best you should enter your account and the password. Then please press Request button. All the rest boxes will be filled automatically so you can click OK button and use PFG Best as your data feed.

No need to configure anything. Data used for backfill is from different source as per explanation in the picture.

I just tried with a PFG demo account to see how it worked out, but get no historical back fill. Should a demo make any difference?

Price Session ip and port is: 38.115.151.225 : 11500

Order Session ip and port is: 38.98.132.136 : 12003

Thanks,
Laurentius

Thank you very much for your followups Tresor.

The settings you showed me is exactly the same as I have. I have tried with both the 6EZ1 and EUR/USD, but still got no backfilling. Strange. I wonder if there is something with the instrument settings that I have missed. Hmm....

Case solved. Got help from Katrin.

I had not checked the "Download Missing Historical Data" box.

By the way. Thank you very much MultiCharts for making this new capability with PFG.

Laurentius
