My broker is InteractiveBrokers and I have good experience of using MC and TWS to do some auto trades. I recently noticed some of my auto orders routed to "PSX" Exchange in TWS which leads to much higher commission fee compared to "NYSE" Exchange. I know I can do something in TWS to prevent this, but meanwhile I notice in Interactive Brokers Properties, there is an option "Settling Firm". I guess I can type "NYSE" here to tell TWS that auto-orders should go to "NYSE", right? Or any other solution I can do in MC?
I will do some tests on Monday, but any input here will help me a lot and save me time.
Thanks

Re: how to assign exchange in auto-trading?
Hello Stonebrook2011,
Please try to do the following:
Go to the File->Broker profiles->Symbol mapping.
Select your broker InteractiveBrokers.
Click Edit for the Broker symbol in the right column.
Make sure NYSE is the first exchange in the line, PSX is the second one.
Please use “;” as separator.
