why MC.Net not designed to allow coding in visual studio

Question: Why was multicharts.net designed in the way to allow only multicharts proprietary editor for developing strategies? Why was it not designed to allow to use Visual studio to write indicators and strategies?

Is it because of some technical limitation of the multicharts infrastructure? or was it a business decision that you want your customers to stay within your proprietary power editor?
