MC.NET 9.0 BETA 2 - Symbol Mapping for eSignal to IB FX

Postby rjelles » 29 Jul 2014

I can map eSignal futures to IB symbols in Beta 2, but I can't get the mapping to work for forex symbols in IB with this version.

For example, I start with an empty mapping table, create a new chart, add CADJPY A0-FX.
A single symbol mapping is automatically created from CADJPY A0-FX to "CADJPY A0-FX" and Category "Forex", which is incorrect so the symbol and category need to be edited to be "CAD.JPY" and "Cash".

However, after completing the edit and hitting "Apply", the category is always set back to "Forex", which I believe is causing the problem with lookups in IB. The result is that the Bid/Ask prices don't show in the chart trader. The DOM works correctly, although it seems to bypass the symbol mapping altogether. No problems with futures mappings.

Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?

thanks,

Jeff

Hello Jeff,

Please add the symbols from the data source.
In QuoteManager please go to Instrument tab->Add symbol->From data source->IB->Cash.
Please configure the symbol mapping using the instruments added from the data provider.
