Color.Transparent

Postby ABC » 21 Oct 2014

It appears that Color.Transparent is not actually giving you a transparent color, but a white one that overlays what ever is behind the color (which seems to fly in the face of the meaning transparent).
I am not sure if this intended to behave this way, but it somehow feels like a bug. It would be nice to have the ability to actually use a transparent coloring like you can in other platforms.

Regards,
ABC

This issue will be fixed in MultiCharts .NET 9.0 Release 2.

Henry,

it appears in MultiCharts .NET64 Version 9.1 Release (Build 12589) Color.Transparent is back to the white color again. Is this intended?

Regards,

ABC

Hello ABC,

Please send me the workspace and study you are using for replicating this behavior.

Henry,

I don't have a workspace or study, but you can simply test it for yourself when you create a new indicator and in the default code just change the plot color in line 12 from Color.Red to Color.Transparent in the code. Apply the indicator to any chart and you should be able to reproduce the result.

Thank you,

ABC

Hello ABC,

This case has been forwarded to the development team. We'll see what can be done.
