Indicators not Loading after a Rally Long Time

Hi.

Indicators are not loading after a really long time with 10 charts * 5 workspaces ( 50 charts ). This is not the case every time. I’m using Interactive Brokers ( if that matters ). Something else is that the charts are waiting for a connection ( even if it’s Saturday or Sunday ). This is isn’t necessary at all. I would like the chart to load historical data even if the connection isn’t established yet ( on all days ). :D

Note: The indicators are loading slow one by one, starting with windows 1, 2, 3, etc. ( and suddenly fast, after a while ).

Hello, Johannes

The studies are calculated only after the data is loaded on a chart, so the indicators cannot be loaded while you see “establishing connection” on charts.
It is possible to use data from the local database without connection to the data provider if MultiCharts is running in offline mode:

Hi.

It's after the connection is established. :P

The charts are just black, and the indicators comes one by one chart from window 1, 2, 3, etc. It's usually for 5 charts, then it suddenly pops up on the rest 5. This happens simultaneously on 5 workspaces with 10 charts. :)

After all, why does MultiCharts need a connection on Saturdays and Sundays. This is annoying.

Hello, Johannes,

If you don’t want MultiCharts to connect to the data feed on Saturdays and Sundays, please use it in offline mode on those days.

Thanks for your reply. :)

I get this error when applying " File > Preferences... > Data Server Mode > Offline: Use only the locally stored data ".

Can these conditions be changed automatic?

A quick work-around is to save your workspace, open a new empty workspace, close your usual workspace, change the data server preference, then open your usual workspace again. I agree the process could be improved.
