GBP/JPY data

My GBP/JPY candlesticks are compressed and will not expand. They are compressed to a line. The only way the will decompress is if I scoll the price to past data.

What can I do to fix this? I need it taken care of ASAP.

Thanks

This problem occurred because yesterday a bad tick happened, displacing the quotes. This problem will be fixed on our side, we'll need to replace the data file and will try this ASAP.

Thanks for the reply.

Also, is there a way to speed up the loading process of the trading platform? It takes quitea bit longer to load than any other program that I open. I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware issue as I have a brand new computer.

Thanks again

The loading speed of MCFX, I guess, in your case depends on the workspace you've set to open by default. With such a workspace requesting and downloading initial data for a large number of symbols will take time, a very complex one can well take a minute to start which is understandably quite a wait for launching an application.

If your problem is something different (like bare MCFX without workspaces taking long to load), please post a more detailed description.

We're taking data directly from FXCM, but now it looks like we have to add filtering for history data. This will be done to prevent such spikes in the future.

Will the spike be fixed this weekend? It only shows up on my daily chart now.

The data will be fixed next weekend, we'll need the time to implement a filter and test it on all available data.
Then, data will be ran through a filter before becoming available for the users.

We tried to load again the data from FXCM but it still had this bad tick. This weekend we are going to filter the received data ourselves.
Try from somebody else, maybe you will have more luck.

Could you please post a screenshot confirming that a candle for the daily chart 12/15/2006 is missing?

I plotted this symbol and didn't notice any gap (please see the screenshot).

We cannot reproduce this missing bar now. Please let us know immediately if this happens again during this weekend so that we can trap such missing bar and fix it.
