Postby Smoky » 18 Dec 2016

IB have a native continuous contrats ! very easy to find and trade them with TWS ...

Why MC don't use them ?

when you build them with MC, you can't use Renko, Why ?

If MC do not retrieve them using the search tool, have you tried to add them manually?
Does IB allow access to those continuous contracts outside TWS?

Now you're confusing us.
You said that you weren't able to get IB's continuous contracts in MC (which TJ replied saying it's an IB restriction - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=48930#p117244 ) but now you're saying that you do but only for regular bars, not Renko?

Hi,

IB continuous contracts are not supported in MultiCharts because they are not provided through IB API. But you can use custom futures functionality to create continuous contracts from IB in MultiCharts. If you use custom futures on the chart, you will not be able to plot Renko charts for them.
