Why is new or incomplete software being sold for $800???

I have been having nightmares with MC's and have heard many similar stories. I can't get mine (newest beta) to work at all in XP or in Vista with Esignal data feed and even if i could I hear that fills and charting are VERY innacurate. All this makes me wonder why in the world it is being sold for $800 until it is a finished product. Just my gripes.....
