Limits and rounding

Postby joebone » 01 Apr 2021

If I am trading Emini and using limit orders to buy and sell and those limit orders are based off calculations that are not rounded to a tick then how does the limit get rounded.

Does it get rounded at the broker or does MC round it before the order is sent?

I ask this question because I have gone back to add rounding to my signals to account for as many details as I can and I am seeing some major differences sometimes on a signal's performance then none at all on other times. So I am assuming my knowledge of how the internal rounding happens is off now?

Thanks for any help

Hello joebone,

Limit orders are executed at the specified price or better (rounded for the better price).
Stop orders at the specified price or worse (rounded for the worse price ).
