I want to include a 200 days moving average.
but if I include it in the chart, and if the distance between the 200MA and the current price is very far, I will get a chart with small bar graph.
some charting programs allow you to configure the Indicators so that it can Fall off the Scale.
i.e. The indicator will show up only if it is within the chart's scale.
This option will not be too difficult to create. I am sure many user will find it useful as well.
I have included a sample of how the indicator can fall off the chart. Note the red line 200MA.
I have attached an annotated chart.

Hi TJ,
If I understand the description correctly there is such a feature in MultiCharts.
In indicator settings in Format Study Window - > Scaling there are several scaling option. If you want the price scale be tied to the symbol and not to the indicator you need to check the option Same As Symbol.
Regards.

Marina,
an option in TS, which is called "Expand Range to include Analysis Techniques" is what TJ is looking for. Currently the range is changed, so that the analysis technique is visible - to be seen with TJ's example of with Floor Pivots for example. If you uncheck this option in TS, you will get exactly what TJ is looking for. In my opinion this would be a very valuable addition to MC.
Best regards,
ABC

Hello,
We are going to add this feature in future MC versions.
For now I could suggest the following workaround that could do the job:
in Format Study -> Scaling, Scale Type choose User Defined. In this field you can type max and min values for the price scale and whenever the moving average goes beyond that it won't be seen on the chart.
