Looks like a great day, except for the first trade was a stop out.

Why is this advertisement in the forum?
It is okay to have 3rd party products, but i don't need to have postings everyday that basically say nothing essential.

Could this be shifted into TS-ons/other products forum, please?

Best regards

Robert it quite right that this EOTPRO post should be in the Add-On Section and this space should be used only for support purpose...it makes things a bit simple.

Hello,

I have watched several of the videos on your website and I noticed that at the beginning you show your order entry DOM and the the amount of profit/loss for that day. I tried to look for a disclaimer on the website, but could not find one. Is this a simulated or real account you trade and show for your videos?

Thanks,

Hi Bob

Thanks for your post

Just so I don't get in trouble by anyone, I am saying this is all simulated profit.
I am not a CTA or anything else for that matter.
Just a regular guy that likes to trade with these indicators.

Bob, if you like, feel free to let Shelly know if you would like in the room no charge for a while. Come check us out and say hi. just e-mail roughshelly@gmail.com and let her know.

Another place you can watch movies on these indicators is www.movethemarkets.com

By the way I just updated our blog to include Fridays movie.

Hope that answers your questions and have a great weekend

I wanted to answer a question I received via PM to a MC user that asked:

"What is you trading based on? what triggers you in a trade?"

I use these these indicators to watch a few things

1. Price is the most important of them all and I use an indicator called the Patty B to trigger me in to the trade. It gives me a red or green dot.

2. Volume analysis is the next critical item. I use the indicator called Shelly's volume to help determine the Direction of volume and I want to make sure its moving in my trade direction

3. Cycles. I use the indicator called Market sync to help compare short and long cycles in the market to give the bias of the cycles.

4. Intermarket analysis. I use other markets to give me a heads up on what the e-minis are doing or likely to do.

All 4 of these things need to line up for me in order for me to make a trade. I consider when all these things line up to high probability trade

Hope that answers your question

I applaud this as an enlightened attitude. Regardless of exactly where on the site 3rd-party vendor threads live, it is great to see MC as a company recognize the partnership value of 3rd-party developers by letting them communicate and converse here.

IMO, if MC concentrates on making MC the best possible core platform it can be, while 3rd parties concentrate on creative and unique add-ons, everyone will benefit maximally.

Just my opinion but I think this forum is the wrong place. I think it should be in one of the "TS Add-ons" forums.

I expect most people come to this forum for support and nothing else. If it's littered with regular updates from these types of posts the more important messages will not be as visible.

This is not a reflection on the product being advertised. I just think it's in the wrong place. I have no doubt the vendor would want it here though as they're bound to get more hits.

Perhaps there should be another forum for developer chat? A coder's corner type of place where you can exchange ideas and pass on information.

Totally agree. While it's not a problem with just one vendor talking to himself if others are allowed to do the same it's really going to get in the way.

Main thread

Postby eotpro » 20 Apr 2008

Geoff and Sparkz

Thanks for your comments

When we first approached Multicharts we were concerned about the same issue. Multicharts management decided they wanted add-on providers on the main thread.

I suspect, to help encourage customers to use the excellent charting package they offer. Customers are now able to view more options when deciding to come to Multicharts from the main thread.
As the forum becomes more popular, perhaps they will decide to create a add-on section

In our trading room we do very extensive analysis of 5 market simultaneously on 1 chart to help us trade the E-mini S&P. This type of analysis is not possible in TS or some other platforms, so we really are showing the full power of Multicharts.
Its pretty cool. I really do think Multicharts has a top notch product in this industry.

Thanks again for you comments and Happy trading

Hi

I like the volume splitter, could you point me to a previous trading recording where I can see it in action?

And another thing, do you have any trials? I would love to try a couple of the indicators prior to an eventually buying. Especially volume splitter and elite trader.

Hi Januson,

Thanks for your post

The first thing I would do would be to E-mail Shelly@eotpro.com and come into the trading room for free for a couple of weeks.

I show the indicator live everyday. That way you can see if you like it and if it will help your trading or not. We trade the ES in the morning from market open to noon eastern.

If you decide you like it, we can go from there.

Hope that helps

Hi Bill,

I have watched some of your videos and found "Dumb Money" and Dumb money 2" very interesting.
I too, have used the cumulative upticks - downticks to validate market movement using both the program generated Upticks & DownTicks and also the intrabarpersist TICKS at the currentbid or currentask method of filtering size.
I have fabricated several momentum oscillators based on the output and settled on using TRIX because it is so smooth and filters noise very nicely.
I disagree with the conclusions you have stated in your videos about the small orders being "dumb money" going in the opposite direction of the price trend. I have done many statistical studies on just such phenomena and have come to the conclusion that (FOR THE MOST PART) small orders are not entries, but exits. Large traders put their entire positions on and then "peel" off profits as the price moves in their direction.
Just my 2 cents. Appreciate the videos and all your efforts!

thanks for your response

On the small trader front, I do want to be clear I really don't use this information for my trading. Its just kind of fun to watch.

I have posted a screen shot of what the small traders were doing for most of the day. Suffice it to say I sure would not want to be trading in their direction that's for sure.

Just to be clear, I classify small traders as those trading 1-5 contacts. I was pretty hard on those small trader in the you tube video's. I was one of those traders for about 4 years in my rookie years.

As far as Pulse trading, I am sure you are correct in that they break up the orders. However for my proposes of following the large traders there are still a ton of trades at >100 contracts. Works very well for me as a conformation tool of direction.

Thanks again for your comments!!
