Check out attached Quote manager screen. This version has a communication error. This may be that Esignal data manager has to be started. But I have seen this on various restarts occur three or four times.

It looks like the problem is that your conversion process is changing the setting s on the symbol in the workspace from 24 hr to regular. ALL my symbols are set to 24hr.

Many thanks. I'll test today and feedback.
Running OK with IB data. I'll check with eSignal data tomorrow.

As Jerry says, many of my defaults were overwritten by the install.

I needed to recreate my workspaces even after the prvious beta as the previous workspaces did crash the indicators. No problems after a couple of hours running.

Hi phil,

.sef files can only be used on the same version as the one they were imported from.

You can't do that. It has to be compiled on the version you are going to run on. You need to import the source and re-compile.

It looks like the problem is that your conversion process is changing the setting s on the symbol in the workspace from 24 hr to regular. ALL my symbols are set to 24hr.
This is disturbing.

What other changes are being made to the database?

Are databases now not possible to share between versions of MC?

Thanks.

Symbol settings for a Chart are not part of the MC database. I believe the information is contained within the Chart itself. because each chart can have the symbols settings set differently.

We just check it and it didn't convert 24 to regular on our side. We created a WSP on 999 with 24 hours and reinstalled MC 3 and opened the WSP. Suggestions?

Andrew
I had it happen Twice. The first time I installed the beta before market open. I was watching the premarket data come in just prior to install. After install no data was coming in and the data I had observed before was gone. I didn't know at the time what was wrong. I thought there was something wrong with the datafeed connection. But I tracked it down to the Symbol setting. It was still before market open so with Regular setting no data came in. Then I upgraded to newer beta version from original beta and it happened again. So it just didn't happen when upgrading from 999. However , that said, I pretty sure I reloaded the original workspaces the second time . So although I was upgrading beta to beta the workspaces were upgraded from 999 both times.
This is windows 2000 computer if that helps.

Thanks for the info. Could you send me one of your "original 999.999" WSP?
