Range Bar Bug ?

Postby brodnicki steven » 29 Feb 2008

This is the first time that I've seen this. I even rebuilt the range bars with a new chart. Apparently AAPL had a wild swing in price today and the range bars couldn't keep up.

I believe it is a bad tick at 8:30 (market open outlier?). Did you try to see ticks in Edit Data or reload the chart?

I was just checking and it does appear to be bad data from IB. . (I should have checked that first)
Thanks

It happens from time to time. This is why we are going to add Bad Tick Filter feature in the next versions of MC.

That's Fantastic !!!!!! A bad tick filter would be a huge addition.
You might also have it filter out dates that are out of sequence as well.
Try to make it user adjustable if possible.
