Quote Manager, ASCII data lost

Postby johnchan » 20 Jul 2008

I am using MC V3.1 and find that ASCII data loaded on Quote manager is not being saved when I close. When I open MC next the chart says "no data" and Quote Manager has no data in the symbol.
Is there something I need to do now to keep ASCII data loaded in Quote Manager?

Hi John,

Were you doing ASCII import or ASCII mapping?

Marina,
I'm not sure I was right, above.

I am importing history data into a symbol I have manually created in Quote Manager. The symbol says "Data Source" - ASCII Mapping.

go to quote manager

find your symbol in the list

right click on the symbol

select "Import Data" (it is in the middle of the list)

Thanks TJ
In my first post you will see I have imported the data and used it. My problem is that the data is not being saved for some reason.
When I re-open MC after it is closed the chart says "no data" and when I open Quote Manager the data has gone from the symbol and I have to import it again.

Dear John,

Please contact us via LiveChat and we will help you to resolve your issue.

P.S.: Please note that if you use ASCII mapping the data is not saved into the local database. It remains in the original chart and is referenced by the program when a chart is requested.

Regards.
