Multi Charts & Forex Newby Q

Postby willwill7 » 21 Sep 2008

I'm a futures trader new to Forex - so not a smart question, but just want to be sure I have this correct.

For trading one EURUSD contract I put 100000 under Dollar Amount to trade for back-testing purposes.
Is this correct?

Also, (if the above is correct) I'd assume you would also put 100000 under Dollar Amount to trade for trading "live" with Multi Charts and IB, if you were trying to trade one contract like above?

Thanks!

Hi willwill7,

To trade one EURUSD contract, in the strategy properties set the Fixed Contracts/Shares value to 100000. This applies both to backtesting and auto trading.

Best regards.
