Intermittent internet caused MC to hang

My internet service has been acting up; I have been getting intermittent disconnect. (must be the winter blue.)

Sometimes the disconnect is for a brief period, less than 1 second, sometimes a bit longer. But the connection always come back.

The problem I have with MC is that after a few disconnects, MC simply hangs up. It refuses to update the chart.

Is there any way to cure this?
Anyway to extend the timeout?

A delayed chart is better than no chart at all.


p.s. is there any way to kick start MC after a hang? I hate to exit MC to restart.

What MC version and what datafeed are you using?

I am using v4b1440 with IB.

The internet is ok now. The ISP pulled a new wire for me so the signal is strong and stable. However I afraid MC will stop working again when there is a brief internet fault.
