Postby ABC » 09 Feb 2009

Hi TS Support,

can we upgrade to the newest IQFeed version or will there be problems with MC?

Thanks,
ABC

Hi ABC,

You can upgrade to the latest version of IQFeed. There should be no compatibility issues with the currently available MC versions.

Also, in the new version of MC (5.0 beta 3) due within the next few days, data from IQFeed will be processed and plotted much faster.

Regards.

Marina,
I did a test drive of both eSignal and IQfeed last month side by side and noticed that IQfeed tick data slightly lagged eSignal. The difference in speed was clearly noticeable. My guess is: IQFeed lag was in the range of tens or few hundred millisec on tick data.

I prefer to use IQFeed as it provides 500 symbols compare to eSignal (200 symbols), but slower data feed was a big concern.

Now, after reading your post, I have a question to you:

Does it mean that in MC 5 beta 3 both eSignal and IQFeed data feeds will be equal from the point of view of how Multicharts handles both feeds?
Thank you,
Pavel
