Getting Data from an Excel Spreadsheet into a Signal

Postby titletrading » 24 May 2010

I have a strategy signal that requires fixed data (both strings and numbers) from an excel sheet. How can I automatically call up the information in these cells to my signal for calculations? The list is about 70 symbols long and compares the "getsymbolname" command to the returned name from the spreadsheet to determine if the correct row is being used to return other values.

Dear titletrading,

There is a free library made for this purpose. We can send it to you via e-mail if you want.

Dear titletrading,

Your e-mail address is hidden in your Profile settings. You can send me a letter at dmasalov@multicharts.com, so I can reply you and send you the library.

Error

Postby titletrading » 25 May 2010

Well I was able to get ELXL to compile into my signal but now I get an error that crashes MC whenever I try to use the signal. A previous version without ELXL worked fine. Attached is the error msg.
