IB IDEAL PRO FOREX EUR/USD 0,00005 scaling.

Postby worx » 18 Apr 2006

IB IDEAL PRO Forex EUR/USD has a tick size of 0,00005 points.
Is there any way to chart the Euro but ignoring the last digit 1/2 point (0,00005) and only chart the 0,0001 digit on a tick chart? I took the scaling down but MC is rounding 1/2 ponts up. Means if the Market shows 1,22235 MC Charts show 1,2224. Instead i would like to see 1,2223. Any way to change this?

Many thanks!

What you need to do is change the price scale in QuoteManager: select and right-click a symbol -> Edit symbol -> Settings -> select Use custom Settings and a drop-down menu will be activated.
Try out the scales to find one that suits you best.

Alex,

as I said I changed the scaling the Price scale.
I use a scaling that shows 4 digits after the point.

For example 1.2223

Once again, my question was if the IB TWS IDEALPRO FOREX FEED
shows a price of 1.22235 i would like to see on the chart still a price of
1,2223. But MC shows 1,2224. Is there any way to change this.

It is possible to use the setting 1/100000 so five decimals are displayed; otherwise, .05 values are always rounded to .1, this is a mathematic rule.

It cannot be changed - otherwise, for instance, 1,25 will have to be rounded down to 1,2 - not so subtle a difference, right?

Alex,

Thank you!

I am aware of the mathemathical rule. I just thought there is a way to make an exception. Like ignoring the 5th
digit.
Sorry for being so akribic!
