Data error - High,low matches close,open

Postby GD » 24 Apr 2006

This is a very strange error. The data feed is IB. It only occurs for one symbol, SNDK, out of dozens. The highs and lows are set equal to the opens/closes (or vice versa). Hence, there are no wicks on these candlesticks. Look at the data in the attached pdf. This doesn't occur using IB's TWS or using Medved's QuoteTracker, which gets its data from IB. MC is doing something to the data. With 5 minute data, the error appears less and seems to disappear with hourly data time frames

How can I delete the database and try reading anew? Will it solve the problem?

Thanks,

GD

I was able to receive a minutes chart for SNDK symbol with wicks and all, see image. Please check what exchange are you using - maybe data is to blame. I used SMART.

To clear the symbol from the database, you need to right-click that symbol in QuoteManager, use Clear Cache and re-download data. Or just create a new symbol using a different exchange and delete the existing one.

I solved the problem by completely eliminating the symbol from my charts and Quotewindow, then adding it back in.

Thanks,
