i like to know if historical database on both platforms are compatible...i mean if someone keeps data of a custom future or forex symbol in MCDT could he use that data in MC ? and how he can do that

Hi,
I didn't test but it should be compatible.
BUT you can't add data from one database to other. You can just overwrite one but other one. (and lost of course the overwrited one)
Or you can use text file to import data by quote manager.

The database files are not compatible, but you can export data from the MC QuoteManager (File > Export) and import it into the MCDT QuoteManager. You cannot just replace the database files, they are incompatible.
