Datafeed - Orders

Postby Henrik » 02 Sep 2011

Hi!
Only for clarification:

I have datafeed eSignal. Broker is IB.

If I use eSignal for chartdata, and set up a strategy, with settings (auto trading) "get realtime data from a) broker b) chart".

Use MC realtimedata only from esignal? only orderrouting is over IB?
Right?

Hello Henrik.
Yes that is correct. Historical and realtime data will be received from eSignal.
The order will be routed through IB.

"Get realtime data from broker/chart" affects the monitoring of special orders, the determination of the moment when the price order should be converted into the market order.
The orders that are placed at the broker will be converted into market orders after a certain timeout specified in seconds.
Depending on the option specified in "get realtime data from broker/chart" the timer starts:
-when the price at the broker hit the execution price of the price order.
-when the price order is executed on the chart.
Special orders will be calculated basing on the entry order execution price before the realtime price.
The execution price is determined by the broker. It is not dependent from the option selected ("Get realtime data from broker/chart") and auto trading mode.
For example in AA mode, get realtime data from chart.
An entry traling order is sent. The Trailing price will be determined basing on the order fill price at the broker and the realtime from the chart.
