ATR dollartrailstop_2 signal input parameters?

Postby iceman » 09 Oct 2011

This signal has 4 inputs ATR Trail, ATR Floor, DollarstopLoss and ATRlen.

Is there anywhere that gives more detail what each of these parameters are. So you can have a starting point, where to begin testing input values. Eg. The default input for dollarstoploss is 1.

But the reality is your input is likely greater than 100, depending on what your strategy is etc.

Any help is much appreciated.

Which signal? The "ATR dollartrailstop_2" signal? As far as I can tell, that's a custom signal, and not one which comes out of the box with the MultiCharts install (though MultiCharts does have an "ATR Trailing LX" and "ATR Trailing SX" signal). So, I have no idea what you mean here. :)

You can change the default values in the EasyLanguage script, by changing the "Inputs: .... " line of code. That way you can change the 'dollarstoploss' value to be a default of 100 instead of 1.

Hello Iceman.
You need to contact the developer of the script for clarification as this is not a prebuilt study.
