how to trade 0.1 lot

Postby justmake » 05 Feb 2013

Hello,

At some supported brokers as Lmax support to trade 0.1 lot through Multicharts, however I found if the lot is less than 1 in strategy, it does not show on the chart.

Plus, I cannot input 0.1 shares (lot) at the trade window in Multicharts manually either.

Any other way to place 0.1 lot(shares ) through Multicharts?

with mc 8.5 RC there is a new api. one share = one micro lot. so 10 share = 0.1 lot. (if you define one lot = 100000)

Hello justmake,

1 = 1000 when trading Forex at LMAX broker in the latest version of MultiCharts 8.5 Release Candidate. Just install this version to get the improvement.

I see, but do we have to adjust the point value of Lmax default from 10,000 to 1,000?
(Please see the screen shot.)

Otherwise, Strategy on the chart will still treat 1 point value as 10,000
and 1 lot trading in chart will shows P/L of 10,000's P/L instead of 1,000's P/L?

Hi justmake,

Big Point Value must be set to 1000 in order to show the correct amounts both on chart and performance report. (The Price Scale for yen pairs should be 1/1000).
