ASCII files problem in new beta

Postby Victor » 08 Sep 2006

Hi,

I downloaded new beta version from 09/04/2006. I couldn't chart my ASCII source. Actually I could map it or import, however when I try to chart that source, I get No data message.

I notices, that Server mode dialog was changed, that may be a problem. Please, investigate that, because now no ASCII source could be used. I used the same ASCII file with previous version.

Thanks

Victor,

did you do a reboot after the installation of the MC beta?

Several users (if not all who tried the beta) have had problems charting data for the first time. Those problems vanished after rebooting the computer. I don't know if it works for ASCII, but it should be worth a try.

Victor,
Please make sure you use Online mode. See File->Preferences->Data server mode.

ASCII File doesn't chart

Postby Victor » 12 Sep 2006

I tryed to use all possible setting in the preferences for Server mode.
No data message.

Do you can get ASCII mapped source on your machine?

It happened only with new 09/04/2006 release.

Thanks

Victor, do you use British Windows localization?

ASCII files problem in new beta

Postby Victor » 12 Sep 2006

Hi, Dear MC Support.

Please, try to use ASCII mapped source on your computer with your latest 09/04/2006 version and tell me if you can chart that source. I do not waste my time to answering questions like: REBOOT your machine, what Windows localization you use and others. My localization is 33 - United States.

The same file that worked in previous version - doesn't work in your latest.

Thanks
