Time Differences

Postby Pipscalper » 02 Oct 2006

Now data is stored conform the Exchange settings.
I use symbols in CET time and FX in NY time.
How can I change the FX NY time setting to CET time whithout changing the
exchange settings.
If I change The Exvhange settings IB does not connect anymore and it would make things a lot easier if you want daily ranges or Day high/Low in CET time instaed of NY time.
A gmt shift per symbol. can this be accomplished and would it do the job?

The solution here would be changing your system time zone (not just the time!) to CET and running both symbols in local time.

My system is in local CET time.
I changed the sessionsettings to local time 00.00-23.59 Hrs, but still chartdisplay is in the original Ib timesetting .In this case for Fx it is NY time and still not CET time.

After you've set the time zone, apply the symbol to the chart. Right-click to go to FormatSymbol dialog and in the Settings tab, Display group choose the Local time zone.

Never mind, this was me not explaining what it means to "run in local time" clearly enough.
