Bar-Spacing Settings Need Better Formating

Postby denizen2 » 26 Nov 2006

RE: The Bar-Spacing Setting field in Format Window->X-time Scale

The readout in this field-window is many time filled with what looks like 'junk'. Upon further investigation, I see the problem is really that there is no format control being applied. For example, if the bar-spacing turns out to be a rational number, e.g., 5/3 = 1.66666666666...6666 'for ever', then what you will see in this field is just a field of 'integers' 6's, when in fact you *should* see just e.g., "1.6". This has caused me some confusion  or :? . A 'little detail' that really needs to be fixed, please.

Dear denizen2 -

We recognize there's an issue with displaying long decimalthe l values in this field - the field shows the last 13 digits of the value, not the first. In the .6666666.... example if you clicked in the field and scrolled to the left, the first value will still be 1.6

So can I assume that the formating will be changed to some kind of integer, or small decimal-precision type format? :)

We'll fix it so that first of all the beginning of the value will be shown, so the 5/3 will be displayed as 1.666666666666 (cut off at 13 figures).
