Hello Fibdax,

This is not a trivial issue and it requires additional time for analysis. There is no ETA at the moment.
I will keep the board posted.

Fibdax,

Can you show the co-ordinates of this trendline? Just click on the trandline before making a screenshot. Thanks.

It's an annoying problem.

This happens because the line lost its end time coordinate.
The line moved because when you zoomed in somehow MC lost the original end time coordinate so it adjusted the line to the last time available.

A couple weeks ago I remember sending to MC staff a possible solution to this, which is add a third point on the line which would serve as a secondary end point. This way, everytime the end point would be out of range, that secondary point would maintain the line with its original slope. That third point would be always set to the last bar on the chart.

arnie, fibdax, there should be no such problem if Chart Shift option is set to "Bars" in Format->Window->X-time scale.
We are looking into improving the behavior with Chart Shift specified in percent.

Unfortunately there is no technical possibility for improving this behavior at the moment.
Please use the provided workaround:
Set Chart Shift option to "Bars" in Format->Window->X-time scale.

Return to “MultiCharts”
