Inverted forex quotes - chart

Hi,

Just have a question if it it possible to chart the inverted forex quotes, for example, USD/EUR instead EUR/USD?

Maybe it's possible to create a custom symbol that will calculate 1/rate and then to create a chart from that symbol? Or maybe there is another way to do it?

It would greatly enhanced the visual comparison of different currency charts if all of them were expressed in one currency...

Hello macieyo,

In MultiCharts there is no opportunity for creating artificial symbols. If you want USD/EUR instead of EUR/USD you should add it from your data source.

You can plot an indicator that would show divided values on a subchart if you are simply interested in switched curreny pair price.

We are working on new feature that would allow you to select in what currency you would like to see a Strategy Prerofomance Report outputs or PnL in Order and Position Tracker window, but it won't allo you to invert the currency pair on charts.

Cool. Will that change the symbol sign ($ -> €) or also convert the result using the real-time exchange rate or the historical exchange rate for backtested trades? (e.g. $100 profit in Trading Performance Report will show up as €79,89).

Yes, it will. Thank you for the suggestion regarding currency signs, currently onlt dollar sign is present in MC, i'll add a note to the task.
