Can't connect to IQ Feed with latest release

Postby Xyzzy » 22 Mar 2013

I installed the latest build of the 8.5 Release. Since doing so, MultiCharts can't connect to IQ Feed like it used to do.

Specifically, when I attempt to use a chart that uses IQ Feed data, it shows the "IQ Connect Login" dialog box. However, that box just hangs there and doesn't actually log into IQ Feed. The "Connect" button is available, but nothing happens if I click it. (See attached screenshot.)

My only option is to connect to IQ Feed manually, before starting MultiCharts. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there any solution?

For what it's worth, I'm using Windows 8. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried to reinstall IQFeed?

Which MC and IQFeed version (build) are you using?

On my side all is working fine. No connection problem.

Thanks Arnie. This is the latest build of the 8.5 Release -- Build 6851. I tried a complete uninstall/reinstall of both MultiCharts and IQFeed, but it didn't help. I'll try connecting with MultiChart's LiveChat feature on Monday to see if they can diagnose the problem.

Xyzzy, please update your IQfeed client to the latest version 4.9.0.3
Make sure you have your login and password specified in QuoteManager->Tools->DataSources->IQfeed.
