VS2008 Express cannot build MC.net 8.5 solution

Nothing but problems with the upgrade from MC.net 8.0 to 8.5.

All the supplied and custom signals, indicators, functions, and classes build fine within the PLEditor. When I open the PLStudies8.sln I get 460 errors talking about missing directives or assembly references.

Hello MidKnight,

MultiCharts .Net 8.5 Release uses .Net Framework 4.0 (as our users have requested).
The solution should be compiled using .Net 4.0 now. VS2008 does not support .Net Framework 4.0.
Please use VS2010 or VS2012.
