I am using MC 64 bits ver 8.5 Build 6851. After upgrading to 8.5 MC crashes every time when I open some particular workspace.
Procedures to reproduce the problem:
1. Create a chart of any instrument. Add a strategy. Save the workspace.
2. Close the workspace
3. Modify the strategy: Add a line "inputs:dummy(0);". recompile
4. Open the workspace again. Then MC will crash

Re: MC crashes when I open a workspace
Hello BS135,
Please install the hotfix from this post or update to MultiCharts 8.7 beta 2 - it already has the fix included.

Re: MC crashes when I open a workspace
I upgraded MC to 8.7 beta 2. Yes, the problem I mentioned disappeared, but still have problems when I open another workspace (see attachment). This time the situation is even worse, I am not allowed to turn the strategy on, every time turning on MC shows warning like " instruction at 0x".
I tried many things and noticed that after recompiling the strategy the problem disappear. Now I am recompiling all studies and see if this can workaround the problem (All studies should have been recompiled during upgrade, but recompile again seems help)
