protected indicators and signals

Postby O66 » 14 Dec 2006

Im using some password protected indicators which are working fine, they are listed with a red V (see pic) other protected indicators are listed with a lock. What is the difference?

i have also some password protected signals, but i cant get these to work.
they dont compile. No error no nothing...

is there a difference in signals and indicators for compiling when it is pw protected?

Your password protected indicators that are listed with a red V contain some reserved words that are not compiled properly yet.

The indicators that are listed with a lock are read-only studies.

As concerns the difference in compilation between password protected signals and indicators, there is none at all.

there is a difference imo
i have password protected indicators which could be compiled automatically during import
i have also password protected startegies/signals which didnt compile automatically.
after importing (with compile checked) i had to open the signal, then it asked for a password, (converted to all capitals...) and then i could compile
