can't get MC to work

I sent an email directly to support several days ago but got no reply. I have installed the software (twice) and tried to start it. The window comes up and cpu goes to 100%. I have a gig of ram and a decent processor. I tried killing every process and application I could and still hangs at 100%. The only way to stop it is to kill the main .exe. So far I'm not impressed with the software or being ignored by support. I am sincerely interested in this software IF it really works.

make sure after you uninstall MC, reboot the computer before re-install.
it helps to start with a clean slate.
