Simple question - if I purchase MC outright (only options currently) do you own MC forever and receive all updates/upgrades? Or is it like MetaStock where you own version X and when version Z comes out, you can upgrade for an upgrade fee?

All updates including the Gold Release will be free. The future generations of the product (after the Gold release) will not be free, but it is not in our plans now.
