Trendline using a Global Variable

Postby 9baller » 24 Jul 2013

How would I go about setting up trendline that appears on a tick chart...when a global variable is activated on a timed chart....

trying to have a visual of where higher frame entry points are on the smaller tick chart....

anyone have any sample code or can point me in the right place?

I don't use tick charts (lowest is 10 second bars although I have considered 1 second bars). I just set my 10 second bars to a tick chart. As far as I can see you would just pass the 6 coordinates via the GVs (integers for date time and floats for the price) and create the trend line with this data. I can't see why it would be a problem. It certainly is not hard to try it. Set the price values to zero to hide the trend line when you do not want to see it. Moving a trend line can be tricky. Use the function at this link to move the trend line.
